New Camper, New Decals: Bigger is better!

As you’ve seen from other posts and social media, we upgraded campers in December. We went from our very cramped weekend-type camper that was 29-feet long, to a 43-foot fifth wheel that is a full-timers rig. This one feels like a home. See our tour of it here:

It’s so spacious with a lot of storage. We just love all the windows and natural light. It’s so welcoming in the Florida sunlight! Now that we have the inside furnished how we want it…we had to do something about the outside. Flaunt that Love At First Site name!

Remember what our old camper looked like on the back?

The back of our old camper

We first added the spare tire cover with our logo on it. It was great, however, our fifth wheel doesn’t have a spare tire on the back (it’s underneath the camper). We had our state map that we added to when we went to each state. When we were in Virginia we added the QR code to go to our website and sign our guest book as well as our actual web address. Then we add some square social media stickers of the platforms we are on. All of these went away with the older camper. Hopefully, the new owners at least scanned them before they removed them!

The New Decals

Our fifth wheel looked pretty bare with nothing on it, all the campers walking and driving by couldn’t see who we were. It was time to change that.

We went back to Amazon to order graphics this time since we’ve had such good luck. The first thing we ordered was the two big Love At First Site Logos. We wanted to put one on the living side of the camper as well as one on the back. The one on the side is good for people walking by while we are parked. The one on the back is good for travel days going down the road. Luckily, the space we wanted to put them both was the same size so we were just able to order two. (Here is the link that we ordered them from – totally customizable!)

Jesse applying the new decals

They were so easy to apply! Jesse measured and marked with a pencil where we wanted them centered. The back layer easily peels off so the sticky side is exposed. They conveniently send a tool to help you flatten it as you go. It did take two of us holding it to get it flat, but it was fairly quick and came out great. Jesse was able to use that flat-edged tool and smooth it out completely so no air bubbles remained. We then very easily peeled off the top paper layer, leaving the logo perfectly.

Peeling off the label

This time we opted to get the social media stickers written out by the names instead of just the Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram logos. We also ordered these on Amazon. It was less than a week from ordering them to when they were delivered to the campground. So easy, inexpensive, and professional looking. Here is the link that we used.

Our social media decals

These logos were each separate so took a bit of finagling to get them straight – especially for this OCD girl. But they were simple long stickers to put on. Again, very easy to apply and smooth out with the flattening tool that had come with the logo. And look how good the back of the camper looks!

The finished product

Yes, it still looks a little bare, but that is because our big QR code hasn’t arrived yet! We ordered that at the same time, however with the snow storms up north this week, that got delayed. Stay tuned on our socials for when that shows up. It’ll be right above our social media stickers. That will complete the back!

Orbitz

On our side compartment doors, we added the other big logo as well as our new state map.

The side decals

This placement makes it easily visible to anyone passing by, and that is quite a few people in the day! I have since realized, however, that it doesn’t give a viewer any idea that we have a website and are on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. So, our next decals will be a small QR code as well as some of the square social media icons so people can find us and see what we are about!

All in all, our fifth wheel is now decorated and started to represent! Looking for decals for your camper or vehicle? Definitely check out our links above. These companies did not disappoint!
